The New American - the Revitalization of Kansas City Series is a monthly series of programs intended to build and maintain momentum toward a healthy and vibrant urban core by engaging the public in issues facing downtown Kansas City. The Greater Kansas City Chamber has partnered with the Central Exchange and the Downtown Council in support of this series. The April program will focus on efforts to revitalize downtown Kansas City come at all levels. Meet representatives from three organizations—David Scott of the Urban Society of Kansas City; Ray Braswell of The Urban Core Group and Gibb Kerr of the Downtowners--who will explain how their grassroots efforts are laying the groundwork to bring people back to the city. Each group is passionate about downtown revitalization and each has a slightly different approach to redeveloping the urban core.
