"Women in Leadership"
Historical sources cite Queen Ku-Baba of Kis as the first female ruler in what is present day Iraq around 2500 B.C. An examination of women leaders show that they exhibit ways of leading that are
distinctively different from the ways men lead.
Come hear from Greater Kansas City’s own women leaders: Peggy Dunn,
Mayor, City of Leawood, Kansas; Carol Marinovich, Mayor/CEO, Unified Goverment of Wyandotte County and Kansas
City, Kansas; and, Katheryn Shields, County Executive, Jackson County, Missouri as they discuss “Women in Leadership.”
How were these women able to attain their current positions? What in their backgrounds qualified them to lead? And, why
is it so important to have women in leadership positions? Hear the answers to these question and more at February’s
Success Kansas City Style.
