Time: 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM CDT
Event Description:

A ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION ON INTERNATIONAL TRADE WITH KANSAS CONGRESSMAN DENNIS MOORE

Presented by:
The World Trade Center of the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce

96% of the world's consumers live outside the United States. International business is essential to the growth of this region, but often the myths are far better understood than the realities of the benefits for business, agriculture, families, workers and consumers. U.S. exports broke new records in 2008 despite the sharp decline in international trade, and total trade is now equivalent to 13.1% of U.S. GDP.

What does the future hold?
Congressman Dennis Moore will share with us his views on the next steps regarding the trade agenda in the new Obama administration.

Also, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the world's largest business organization, has honored Congressman Moore with its prestigious Spirit of Enterprise Award, primarily for his support of pro-growth trade legislation during the second session of the 110th Congress.
