The Revitalization of Kansas City Series is a monthly series of programs intended to build and maintain momentum toward a healthy and vibrant urban core by engaging the public in issues facing downtown Kansas City. The Greater Kansas City Chamber has partnered with The Central Exchange in support of this series.
Brenda Tinnen, Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Sprint Center, shares her plans and more details about this new and exciting desination point. The Sprint Center, scheduled to open fall 2007, will be a cornerstone in the revitalization and renaissanc of downtown Kansas City. According to Center investor and operator AEG, the $276 million arena will be among the finest in the country. Highlights of the 19,000 seat multi-purpose arena include 72 executive suites, 1,800 club seats, restaurants, bars and a mulit-million dollar video scoreboard.
Tinnen has an impressive background in arena management including leadership roles at the Staples Center in Denver and Kodak Theare, home of the Academy Awards. She has also served in senior management positions with the Phoenix Coyotes, Houston Rockets and Minnesota Timberwolves. With a wealth of experience spanning more than 30 years, the Kansas City native was recently named Pollstar/CIC Facility Executive of the Year.

The cost to attend is $20 for Chamber members (please mention Chamber membership when registering) and $25 to the general public. There is no charge for members of The Central Exchange.
