Third Annual POWER of Diversity Celebration
"What's Great About Diversity in Kansas City?"
The POWER of Diversity Celebration is drawing near, please mark your calendar for this annual event!
THIS EVENT HAS BEEN SOLD OUT.
Tuesday, September 13, 2005 from 5:30-9:00 pm, at the Gem Theater and American Jazz Museum, in the historic 18th and Vine Jazz District. This year we have something new and dynamic planned just for you, as we commemorate POWER's second round of Herman A. Johnson mentorship graduates.
Celebrate Kansas City's diversity with us, in the Cultural Marketplace, while placing bids on "original" Kansas City cultural artwork (through our silent auction). Sample cuisine from Kansas City's local caterers and restaurants representing the African-American, American-Indian, Asian-American, and Hispanic/Latino communities. Come and listen to the elegant jazz sounds of Ida McBeth and the swinging beats of the merengue salsa band, La Catalina Orchestra.
Continue to watch www.kcchamber.com in the coming weeks for more information about how you can get involved in the POWER of Diversity Celebration. For more details contact Consuella McCain-Nunnally at (816) 374-5494.
