Description: Distress/failure symptoms are usually apparent to the business owner well before the decision to close has been made.  Business owners should be able to recognize warning signs.

Objective:  Business owners should be knowledgeable of business failure warning signs.

Intended Results:

  • Know business distress/failure symptoms.

  • Know the appropriate time to seek assistance from internal departments: Legal, HR, Financial, etc.

  • Know the process and legality of company closures.
