Name: Operation Resilient Guard
Date: October 26, 2006
Time: 2:00 PM - 5:30 PM CDT
Event Description:

Business Executives for National Security - Kansas City has developed Operation Resilient Guard, a private-sector national security series designed to raise awareness of the need for planning and preparation in order to respond to natural disasters or terrorist attacks. BENS is partnering with the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, Mid-America Regional Council, and Midwest Research Institute to host this series.

The overarching goal of Operation Resilient Guard will be the implementation of an ongoing public/private partnership to mobilize the resources and expertise of the community, in advance, to improve our disaster response capability.

Our next program will be a half day Flu Pandemic workshop directed at CEOs and Presidents; i.e., the senior business leaders of the Kansas City area. The workshop will address key legal concerns, communications with employees and the public, and offer practical solutions for establishing continuity of business operations before, during, and after an avian flu pandemic.
