Missouri State Affairs Public Policy Agenda Wrap Up

It is time to begin the process of developing The Chamber’s 2010 Missouri Public Policy Agenda.  Please make sure to mark your calendars for the following dates for the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce Missouri State Affairs Committee and RSVP to Chelsey Smith at 816-374-5447 or smith@kcchamber.com:

Hearing#1: Friday, October 2, Noon to 2 p.m. 

Hearing #2: Thursday, October 15, Noon to 2 p.m.   

Wrap-Up Meeting: Thursday, October 29, Noon to 2 p.m.

*(Testimony is typically not heard at this meeting in which the "recommended" Public Policy Agenda is approved)

The above meetings will be held in The Chamber Board Room at 911 Main St. Ste 2600. 

At the hearings, Chamber members present information on their respective business legislative issues.  After review by the governing bodies of the Missouri State Affairs committee, the Wrap-Up meeting is held, at which time the committee will review and adopt issues to recommend to the Chamber’s Board for inclusion in the 2010 Public Policy Agenda.  The recommended Public Policy Agenda will be presented, first to The Chamber Executive Committee on Monday, November 9, followed by presentation to the Board of Directors for final adoption on Monday, November 23. 

• To schedule your presentation for the Missouri State Affairs agenda, please complete the form which is a separate attachment to this email, and fax back to Chelsey Smith at 816-274-6447 or email smith@kcchamber.com. 
• This year, presenters will be required to provide a handout to detail their legislative proposal.

RSVP by email to smith@kcchamber.com or call 816-374-5447.  Cost to attend this meeting is $12.00, lunch included. Please specify if you have any special dietary needs and we will work to accommodate your request. If you chose to not eat lunch please let me know when you RSVP.

Chamber Policy: Reservation cancellations must be received 2 days prior to event. 

For meetings at The Chamber we validate parking for the 811 Garage, Commerce Garage at 10 E. 10th Street, and the Tower Garage (between 9th and 10th streets on Walnut). We cannot validate parking for any other garage.
