Minority Enterprise Development Week 2007, October 2-4

Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week 2007 represents the 25th year of celebration in Kansas City. This week plays an important part in our work to promote the growth of the minority business community. As we recognize Kansas City's outstanding minority businessmen and women, we honor their accomplishments and pledge our continued support! In highlighting their successes, this occasion touches even those who may not yet have dreamed of starting their own businesses. A full schedule of activities and events is planned to celebrate minority business enterprises. Your business should be represented at the many planned activities. You'll gain valuable procurement and networking opportunities to motivate your business thinking and build success.

The official 2007 MED WEEK celebration begins with a Kickoff Networking Breakfast. This event is designed to set the tone, one of exposure and acknowledgment of the many contributions made by Minority Businesses to our economy. Large and medium-sized companies; as well as, governmental agencies will attend and provide additional networking opportunities. Be sure to bring your business cards and brochures to distribute as you network. In addition, proclamations and business opportunities will come from the States of Kansas and Missouri; as well as, the City of Kansas City,  Missouri, the Unified Government of Wyandotte County, and Jackson County.
