Kansas State Affairs Public Policy Wrap UP
The Chamber will be asked to take many important positions in its 2010
Hearing : Friday, October 9, Noon to 2 p.m. at
Wrap-Up Meeting: Monday, October, 26, Noon to 2 p.m. at Saint Luke s South, Wellness Conference Room,
*(Testimony is typically not heard at this meeting in which the "recommended" Public Policy Agenda is approved)
At the October 9 hearing, Chamber members are encouraged to present information on their respective business legislative issues. Presenters explain their issues and ask the committee to approve and adopt particular positions. After review by the governing bodies of the Kansas State Affairs committee, the Wrap-Up meeting is held, at which time the committee will review and adopt positions that we will recommend to The Chamber’s Board for inclusion in the 2010 Public Policy Agenda. In developing the agenda, the committee will consider information from the hearing, committee member input, and Chamber staff recommendations. The recommended Public Policy Agenda will be presented, first to The Chamber Executive Committee on Monday, November 9, followed by presentation to the Board of Directors for final adoption on Monday, November 23.
