Kansas State Affairs Legislative Wrap-Up 10-29-07

Its time to begin planning for The Chambers 2008 Public Policy Agenda for Kansas.  Hearing and wrap-up meeting dates are listed below. 

At the hearings, Chamber members are invited to present information on their respective business legislative issues.  Presenters explain their issues and ask the committee to approve and adopt particular positions. 

After review by the governing bodies of the Kansas State Affairs committee, the Wrap-Up meeting is held, at which time the committee will review and adopt issues that we would recommend to the Board for inclusion in the 2008 Public Policy Agenda.  In developing the agenda, the committee will consider information from the hearings, committee member input and Chamber staff recommendations.

The meeting schedule for Kansas State Affairs is as follows:

*American Academy of Family Physicians is located at 11400 Tomahawk Creek Parkway, Leawood, KS. 

The recommended Public Policy Agenda will be presented, first to The Chamber Executive Committee on Monday, November 12, followed by presentation to the Board of Directors for final adoption on Monday, November 19.
