Global Future International Education Program!
Global Future was created in 2002 and is a joint collaboration between the World Trade Center and Park University. Participating universities in the past have included Johnson County Community College, the University of Missouri Kansas City (UMKC), Kansas University (KU), the University of St. Mary, William Jewell College, Baker University, Emporia State University and Rockhurst University. Global Future is proud to be celebrating 50 sessions offering valuable information and knowledge to more than 100 students in the past five years. Students, chosen by faculty advisors or professor recommendation meet monthly to learn from international business Professionals/executives.
Past keynote presenters to the Global Future sessions have included business executives fromRSM McGladrey, Commerce Bank, Jewell Inc. Armada, Hallmark, Bayer, Cerner, Sonnenschein, Nath & Rosenthal, CBIZ, Two West, First National Bank, AMC Theatres, S&M NuTec, Shughart Thomson & Kilroy.
Global Future has been designed with the objectives:
• To provide an understanding of international business through interaction with international business leaders and group discussions
• To provide educational opportunities about business culture
• To provide networking opportunities for students
• To provide optional academic projects and activities
Participants of the Program:
• U.S. students who want to learn about other countries, their culture, and how they conduct business
• International students who want to learn about the U.S. business culture
• Business presenters who want to interact with the educational and international community
Deliverables:
• Business connections to student participants
• Networking opportunities among program participants
• Exposure to the Kansas City business and industry community
• Possibility of opportunities to work on an ongoing project
Program Eligibility:
• Student must have completed a minimum of 24 college hours
• Student must have a minimum 3.0 GPA
• Students must be selected and monitored by the coordinator at each participating school along with providing a recommendation by a university professor or advisor.

Cost of Program:
There will be no charge for Global Future Sessions
Options for Credit:
Possible course credit through Park University or home institution
Additional Responsibilities:
• Students attend and participate during each semester and lead class discussions and projects
• Students participate in an evaluation process at the end of each semester
• Students will create a resume and portfolio for presentation to business speakers
Interested students should complete a Program Application and return it to their campus coordinator and to the World Trade Center (Attention: Betsy Warfield) by October 3rd, 2007.
