Front Line and Hourly Wage Employees: Keys to Recruitment and Retention
If you want to do more for your employees than just be a good boss, and you want to make sure your front-line and hourly workers have access to all the service and supports they need, then educate yourself first. The Chamber's Workforce Solutions and the U.S. Chamber of Center for Workforce Preparation have teamed up to present valuable information for employers about government-sponsored resources available to you for your staff.
On July 19th, from 8:30-10:30 am, you can learn strategies for implementing work supports in your organization...supports that can also serve you well as a recruiting and retention tool.
These supports include tax credits and assistance, and resources for children and families...among many others.
Guest speakers at our Front Line and Hourly Wage Employee Support breakfast include:
Clyde Mc Queen of the Full Employment Council
Helen Neuborne of the Ford Foundation
Author Ellen Galinsky
Local employer panelists who currently utilize government resources to their fullest advantage.
Ellen Galinsky is author of Ask The Children: What America's Children Really Think About Working Parents, and co-president of the Families and Work Institute in New York. Copies of her book will be available on-site for purchase for $10 each while supplies last.
This educational event will be held in The Chamber Board Room at 911 Main Street, 26th Floor. Registration is from 8:30-9:00 am and the Program is 9:00-10:30 am.
The cost is just $10 for Chamber members and $20 for non-members, including breakfast.
