Name: Environment Committee Meeting 7/2809
Date: July 28, 2009
Time: 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM CDT
Event Description:

U.S. Representative Emanuel Cleaver has developed a plan in Kansas City that will potentially improve the environment and create jobs for residents in a 150-block area east of Troost Avenue.  Please join us at our upcoming Chamber Environment Committee meeting to learn more about the details of "The Green Impact Zone" and how it might impact Kansas City's environmental quality, transit system, and local businesses.  Congressman Cleaver's staff will be on hand to discuss the details and recent developments of the program.  Click here if you would like more information on the Green Impact Zone in Kansas City.

This meeting will also include an update on Kansas City's air quality attainment status this summer, from our area experts at the Mid-America Regional Council. Click here for more information on Mid-America Regional Council's Air Quality Program.

In addition, we will have two separate presentations from Chamber members Tetra Tech and Metropolitan Energy Center.  They will be discussing energy and environmental standards within their companies, and how these standards impact their business.  This is a great opportunity to learn more about these local companies, and how they might relate to your professional interests.

This meeting will be held Tuesday, July 28, at 8:00 a.m., in The Chamber Board Room.

The Chamber validates parking for the Tower Garage at 910 Walnut Street, and the Commerce Garage at 10 East 10th Street. The Chamber cannot validate parking in other garages.
