MEETING NOTICE Environment Committee 8:00am, Tuesday, December 30 Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce 2600 Commerce Tower, 911 Main St., KCMO Board Room (26th Floor) Water Issues Facing the Kansas City Region ----------------------------------------------- Frank Pogge, Director Kansas City, Missouri, Water Services Department For our next Environment Committee, Frank Pogge, Director with the Kansas City, Missouri Water Services Department will be our speaker. Pogge will provide an overview of KCMO's Water department, along with a synopsis of the upcoming environmental challenges facing water and wastewater utilities in the region. Also, Frank Poggee will comment on the impacts of the MO River Master Plan and how that affects water supply. He will also do his best to in forecasting and trends as it may relate to our water resources and wastewater and storm water management in the region. The Water Services Department The Water Services Department maintains and operates water collection, processing and distribution systems, storm water management and control systems and waste water collection and processing systems for residential and business customers in Kansas City and for wholesale customers in the Kansas City region. Operation is funded entirely by fees charged to customers based on their use of products and services, not by taxes.
