Domestic Energy - The Big Picture
With David Hughes, Geological Survey of Canada
Americans are always aware of the cost of gasoline. But coal and natural gas, the fuels which power most of the electrical grid and heat our homes, are in some ways even more fundamental. Yet coal and gas receive far less attention, even in a time of high prices and growing global demand.
We're happy to change that state of affairs with this Economic Forum event on Tuesday, October 16th. With more than three decades of experience with the Geological Survey of Canada, Dave Hughes leads the National Coal Inventory, serves as team leader for Unconventional Gas and is an expert on North American reserves of these key energy sources. He has presented to dozens of government agencies, industry associations & private companies as they map their long-term plans for energy production, use and purchase. This event is free, but open only to Chamber members.
The Chamber's Economic Forum is presented by US Bank, with support from KCB Magazine
