2011 Economic Forecast Update Breakfast

Emilia Istrate is a senior research analyst with the Metropolitan Infrastructure Initiative at the Brookings Institution. She works on domestic and international infrastructure financing, transportation and energy, within the field of metropolitan economic development. Prior to joining Brookings, Ms. Istrate conducted research on regional economic development at the School of Public Policy, George Mason University. She also worked on a United Nations Economic Commission for Europe project on promoting energy efficiency in transition countries. She has been a lead or contributing author on nine Brookings papers, including the metro-specific Export Nation in 2010.
