The 2009 Economic Forecast - Ballot Boxes & Bottom Lines

How this year's elections can change your business

Elections matter.  Nearly every aspect of running a business - from tax deductions to health care costs, HR rules and the cost of a gallon of gasoline - is touched directly by who controls the White House, who runs Congress, and who sits in the Governor's Mansion.  And in an unsettled economy, you can't afford to not pay attention to what's at stake in 2009.

To that end, we're bringing together four experts on the intersections of politics and business for their views, opinions, and predictions on why this Election Day will be more important than most.  Our roundtable - Chris Lester from the Star, Fred Logan from KCTV 5, Clyde McQueen from the Full Employment Council, and Kelly Scanlon from Small Business Monthly - will bring the perspectives of workers, entrepreneurs, and seasoned political journalists to the table, along with our annual regional economic outlook for 2009.  Before you head to the polls, vote with your feet and head for the Chamber's 2009 Forecast!
