Please join the KC Animal Health Corridor for a discussion about immigration and the animal health industry.
Immigration is a highly emotional issue facing the nation. Immigrants, both legal and undocumented, have been a part of Kansas and Missouri communities for decades. Traditionally immigration issues have been the purview of the government. Increasing immigrant populations and declining economics have caused tension in both Kansas and Missouri. Angela Ferguson and Allie Devine will provide an overview of federal and state initiatives to regulate immigration. They will discuss the social and economic consequences of these proposals. Agriculture, like many other industries, needs a stable, reliable workforce. These proposals will directly impact livestock operations, related businesses, families, and communities throughout the Midwest.
After the forum, stay with us for drinks and appetizers at a brief networking reception.
