The China Business 2006 initiative will offer a series of forums outside of Washington, DC that pair U.S. business executives, legal experts, academics, and government officials who have on-the-ground business experience in China with local private sector representatives and community officials for discussions on small and medium-size (SME) business opportunities in the China market. The goal of the initiative is to support closer U.S.-China commercial ties and highlight export and investment opportunities in China for U.S. companies.
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce World Trade Center, is hosting a forum featuring His Excellency Zhou Wenzhong, Chinese Ambassador to the U.S. This forum, sponsored nationally by AIG WorldSource and FedEx, will include local business representatives sharing their success stories of doing business with China as well as provide hands-on information on topics including due diligence, finding suitable partners, licensing, sales and marketing, distribution and trading, customs clearance, and regulatory issues.
