Transportation and Infrastructure
This task force should focus on how Kansas City is using transportation, infrastructure and deferred maintenance for the benefit of economic development throughout the Kansas City Metropolitan Area. The team should look at how Kansas City is using railroads, Richards Gebaur, different airports, major highways, and the regions long-range transportation plan. Additional focus areas should include looking at the proposed Paseo bridge crossing, the KC Metro bus system, the recently passed federal transportation reauthorization bill, and the state highway systems. This task force may also want to discuss the regional Smartmoves initiative.
