Discover the rewards of doing business in Croatia, "Europe's Newest Riviera". From Life
Sciences to energy to telecommunications...there are many business opportunities!
Join the Ambassador, assisted by Renatta Kumkera-Stafanac, economic counselor at the Croatian Embassy in Washington DC, to learn more about opportunities in this beautiful country with more than 1000 islands spotting the Adriatic Sea. Three major seaports offer access into Croatia. With Italy just 50 miles across the Adriatic to the west, Vienna 180 miles to the north, and Budapest a little over 200 miles to the east, Croatia has great rail availability connecting these major cities. Croatia is aspiring to both EU membership as well as NATO making both top priorities.
Ambassador Jurica will comment on these topics.
Consider Croatia for joint ventures in the Pharmaceutical and Life Science industries. Pliva is a major pharmaceutical producer that has joint ventures with Pfizer as well as Lilly. The medical school in Zagreb was founded in the mid 1600's and is an available partner for research in the capital city.
Energy, banking, telecommunications, and tourism are all strong sectors for joint ventures.
The physical infrastructure has been upgraded with a new coastal highway that has been opened from Zagreb, the capital, to the Adriatic Sea.
