Ready to Hire...What Next?
Presented by Melody Rayl, Spencer Fane Britt & Browne, LLP
May 4, 2011
8:30 to 10:30am
Hiring can be a daunting process for any employer. The line between conducting a thorough screening and vetting of applicants and invading the spectrum of protected information is not always clearly defined. This session will offer participants a primer on the legal dos and don'ts, as well as a look at some real life hiring dilemnas and potential solutions.
Learning Objectives:
Developing and screening the complete application form
Whether and how social media should be used in applicant screening
Other screening tools (including the growing furor over credit checks)
Candidate interviews - what can you really ask about?
