Organizational Storytelling
We'll explore the powerful ways in which the simple, everyday stories being lived and told around us shape culture. Our discussing will also identify the components of a good story and the relationship between Storyteller and "audience". Join us as we think together about the importance of good stories well told.
At the conclusion of the session, participants will:
Understand how stories shape our lives
Learn the elements of an effective story
Learn the different types of stories
Understand the role of the storyteller and the audience
Learn skills to tell meaningful stories within an organizational context in order to help shape values and expectations.

Todd Long is the Director of Leadership Training and Development at the Pryor Center for Leadership Development at William Jewell College. He has 15 years of experience in experiential learning and organizational training and development. Todd has worked with corporate, nonprofit, educational, and church groups consulting, designing, and implementing training programs to help build more cohesive teams and effective leaders. Todd loves to give people learning experiences that lead to "ah-ha" moments.
