Accounting 101 for Nonprofits

 

This program is designed to cover some of the basic concepts associated with the accounting and financial reporting for nonprofits, including accounting for contributions and general financial statement preparation.  

 

At the conclusion of the session, participants will:

  • Understand the basic concepts for recording and reporting contributions and pledges
  • Understand unrestricted, temporarily restricted, and permanently restricted net asset classes
  • Understand functional expense allocations
