Accessible Marketing in the Digital Age

The ability for marketers to communicate with existing and potential customers has never been easier, but that doesn't mean it's easy.  Learn how to leverage the appropriate strategies and tactics to make sure your message is heard by the right people.  This session will explore marketing options available today, including targeted direct mail, online marketing, social media, and others - and how a smaller organization can effectively develop a cost-effective integrated marketing campaign.
 
Learning Objectives:
  • Understand key trends in changing consumer behavion and how it impacts your marketing efforts. 
  • Learn how you can leverage consumer generated content to gain consumer insights
  • Find out how you can engage in social media to deliver value and build meaningful relationships with your customers
  • Learn how to scale marketing efforts to budgets and resources, while tying results to key performance indicators that justify further investment

As the Director of Emerging Media at VML, Joe Grigsby is focused on leading social media and mobile marketing planning and development on behalf of VML clients such as Hershey's, Jagermeister, SAP, Colgate-Palmolive, and Tom's of Maine.  Prior to joining VML, Joe was the Director of Advertising Innovation at Handmark, a leading mobile media company.  During his time there Joe worked with North American and European carriers and device manufacturers to deploy mobile campaigns for clients such as 1-800-Flowers, Register.com; ZAGAT Guide, and Hotels.com.  Joe has more than a decade of experience in digital marketing, working with clients such as Microsoft, Sprint, H&R Block, Coca-Cola, and Bayer.

A graduate of The University of Kansas with a BA in journalism and a minor in theatre and film, Shali Wade brings nine years of advertising experience to the Version team.  Current client partners include HAIRuWEAR (and its five unique brands), Belden Signal Transmissions, Solutia Performance Films, TomWatson.com; BOTAR, Executive AireShare, and Kansas Action for Children.  Previously, Shali worked at Virtumundo, Barkley Evergreen & Partners, RushWade2, and Geoff Howe Marketing Communications.  Former clients include Sonic Drive-In, American Jazz Museum, and Hill's Pet Nutrition.
