Join us at the Bloch School Executive Forum: Excellence in Leadership and Innovation, an exciting speaker series from UMKC's Henry W. Bloch School of Business and Public Administration and the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce. 

John P. "Jake" Mascotte, retired president and CEO of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City, will speak on "Business Ethics:  the Essential Oxymoron". 

Jake Mascotte's corporate career is stellar:  he is the retired president of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas City and the former chairman and CEO of Continental Corporation, an insurance holding company.  He is a Hallmark Cards Board member and Honorary Trustee of the Aspen Institute.  Mr. Mascotte is also one of the strongest voices for and most able champions of corporate civic engagement in the inner city to come from the top of the private sector.  Mr. Mascotte chairs the Board of the Workforce Investment Company Inc., which syndicates welfare-to-work credits, and is former national chairman of the Local Initiatives Support Corporation, which develops low-income housing.
