In partnership with the National Association of Purchasing Management and Council on Philanthropy will feature speakers and panelists on business topics of interest to you throughout the day (see below for full schedule). As a special treat this year, we will host a cocktail reception from 5:00-6:00pm giving you more time to meet the exhibitors. Download free tickets to attend the B2B Expo!
This year's Expo, running from noon to 6 p.m., will feature seminars hosted in partnership with the Kansas City Chapter of the National Association of Purchasing Management, as well as the Council on Philanthropy. Educate yourself and your colleagues (why not? it's free!) on timely topics. Session one from noon to 12:45 p.m. features a panel of purchasing expert heavy hitters from Aquila, Farmland Foods, Sprint Nextel, Honeywell International, H&R Block, and Hallmark Cards sharing valuable information about how small and medium-sized companies can do more business with their large corporations.
Session two, from 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m., will feature a presentation from Miller & Company, P.C. on changes in customs and trade processes and requirements that are affecting U.S. importers. Session three, from 2 p.m. to 2:45 p.m., will assist in your personal development, as you learn from our Dynamic Dialog coach how to manage multiple demands of a job without becoming demanding yourself. Think transportation for session four, from 3 p.m. to 3:45 p.m., when Kansas City SmartPort and moving goods efficiently through the Kansas City area (and beyond, to our nation's borders) is the topic. Finally, for session five, beef up your 2007 Small Business Celebration awards application, where community service is a criteria for judging, when you hear from experts on effectively implementing community service into your business plan.
