Arts & Issues: the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts The Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts is a project with one overriding goal - to bring artists and audiences together. Ten years of collective research, planning, and design has led to the groundbreaking just last month of this world-class center which will include an 1,800 seat theatre for opera, ballet and theatrical performances and a 1,600 seat concert hall for symphonic and other musical events when it is completed in 2009. Project Manager Ken Dworak joins us to talk about the impressive building, its international design team, and how the entire Kansas City community is coming together to support its development.
