Meet Michael Stern, Music Director for the Kansas City Symphony
Kansas City is raving about the Symphony's new music director Michael Stern. Recognized as one of the most dynamic American conductors of his generation, he began his premier season with the Kansas City Symphony in September 2005.
Stern is the Symphony's fourth music director and also frequently guest conducts major orchestras in the United States, Europe, and Asia. Stern is the founding music director for the innovative and highly successful IRIS Chamber Orchestra in Germantown, TN and has served as the Music director of the Sarrbrucken Radio Symphony Orchestra in Germany.
This program is co-sponsored by the Kansas City Business Committee for the Arts, a program of the Arts Council of Metropolitan Kansas City, the Central Exchange, and the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce. Arts & Issues promotes KC's vibrant cultural life by introducing the business community, and others, to a variety of arts and culture organizations through networking and educational luncheons.
