Join in the Celebration of the Kansas City Ballet's

50th Anniversary Season

The Kansas City Ballet has kept Kansas City on its toes for an amazing 50 years! Founded in 1957, the Kansas City Ballet went from an outgrowth of the UMKC Conservatory of Music, to a metropolitan civic company, and finally, to its first professional season in 1976-77. To commemorate their 50th Anniversary, the Kansas City Ballet has assembled a season you won’t want to miss. The season will kick off with Company B in October. In February 2008, the winter performance will be Hey-Hay, Going to Kansas City. And finally, in April 2008, the Ballet will present the classic, Romeo & Juliet.  Get an inside look into what’s in store from Jeff Bentley, executive director of the Ballet when he speaks at October’s Arts & Issues.
