Please join us for an Armed Forces Committee meeting on September 28th. Lunch will be provided during this meeting, so please RSVP early!
Our guests during this meeting will be Kate Hodel and Maria Meyers, KCSource Link; to demonstrate and discuss a new electronic organizational system for Veteran Services entitled (KCVetLink). The purpose of the KCVetLink project is to rapidly establish a highly visible and easily accessible network of support services for veterans in the Kansas City region. This pilot project will identify, bring together and make visible the network of services providers that support veterans in the Kansas City region. A seamless system, specially designed and branded for this market, will provide veterans easy access to services ranging from health care to business development to cemetery services and more. Access to needed services will be provided both online, through a Web site, or through a hotline. Any group providing direct support to veterans can be part of this network. The VetLink project will allow the Kansas City region to connect a network of resource providers that offer veteran support services. By creating community collaboration, the network can improve the quality of veterans' lives and that of their families by providing easy access to needed services.
We are very excited about the development and launching of this progressive resource tool and we hope that you will express the same vigor after learning more about it.
We look forward to seeing you on Monday, September 28. Please RSVP by contacting Consuella McCain-Nunnally at (816) 374-5494 or mccain-nunnally@kcchamber.com. Thank you.
