Major Michael Myers of the Missouri National Guard will be the guest speaker. Major Myers served in Afghanistan from Spring 2004 to May 2005 with the Kansas Army National Guard. A member of the combined Forces Coalition, Myers was responsible for working with Coalition Forces, local militia, government forces and regional leaders within the Joint Integrated Effects Group. His awards include two Bronze Star Medals and a Combat Action Badge. Originally from Sarcoxie, Mo., Myers has a degree in communications from Missouri Southern State University. He currently serves as the Commander of the 2-137th Infantry Regiment (Rear) and owns and operates several construction, real estate and agriculture companies.

The Armed Forces Committee meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month on a Bi-monthly basis.
