Armed Forces Committee

Mission: The Armed Forces Committee promotes communication, understanding, and cooperation between the business community of Greater Kansas City and The Armed Forces. Areas of Focus: Education: Identify ways for The Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce to educate representatives from the private and civilian sectors on issues facing the military, as well as to educate military personnel on opportunities and methods to make the transition from the military to civilian life. Public Policy: Develop ways for The Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce to make conditions more inviting for armed forces installations and units in the area, as well as deal with possible base closings. Employment: Assist businesses in the employment of transitioning military personnel, as well as assisting those transitioning by providing networking opportunities. Lunches will be served $10.00
