APSE-The Network on Employment: Employer Forum

Individuals with disabilities have become a natural resource for businesses across the country. The Employers Forum will address issues such as:

• Consumer ratings for companies hiring people with disabilities
• Strategies for successful recruitment and retention;
• Hints for where to find support for you and your employees;
• Information to help you ensure the Americans with Disabilities Act  works for you as well as your employees with disabilities; and
• Many other issues that should open doors to increased recruitment and retention for your company.

 The Employers Forum features nationally recognized leaders in disability employment practices

 Neil Romano, to promote mainstream employment in corporate America for individuals with disabilities. Mr. Romano is considered among the nation's leading authorities in the field of media and public advocacy.

 Erin Riehle, founder of Project Search, a rapidly growing program that educates employers about the potential of an under-utilized workforce while meeting their human resource needs.

 Richard Pimentel, an early leader in disability employment as well as a sought after speaker, trainer, and author. Most recently his story as a brilliant public speaker, whose past includes personal struggles with Vietnamese war related disabilities that led him to landmark efforts on behalf of Americans with disabilities, is the subject of a yet to be released Hollywood movie "The Music Within." The movie is scheduled to be released in Fall, 2007.
