· This is a three (3) hour seminar and it will focus on the following:
· Hour one-How did we get here?-Discuss recent developments in union organizing-, including the “Change to Win” (CTW) coalition and its strong support of EFCA. Discuss the historical breakup of the AFL-CIO and its consequences for employers.
· Hour two- Discuss recent trends in voluntary recognition efforts by Labor Unions and their effort to leverage union penetration by territory and industry. Discuss union reluctance to utilize National Labor Relations Boards election procedures. Review EFCA (the version the House has already passed) in detail.
· Hour three-Focus on union education for your employees- eliminating issues unions identify during organizing a potential selling points; and effective strategies to minimize recognition possibilities.
