Navigating Employee Leave Entitlements

Minimizing Employment Litigation
Instructors: Dennis Collins & Amy Blaisdell
· FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act) This program will highlight and analyze the new changes under the FMLA which became effective January 16, 2009. Will provide practical advice on such issues as what is considered a serious condition under recent court rulings.
· EFCA (Employee Free Choice Act) As a result of a change in the presidential administration, there is the likelihood that the EFCA will pass in some form. Learn what you can do in advance to minimize a union organization drive at your company.
· Day-to-Day Employment Advise on Minimizing Employment Litigation: Provide each employer with examples of the most common mistakes that lead ton litigation and practical tips to avoid these mistakes.
