Most employers, social agency workers, and concerned members of community organizations are from middle class, with middle class values, attitudes, and expectations - and need strategies to better connect with employees and clients from poverty. The "hidden rules" of the different socio-economic classes form the basis of a timely training for employers, social service workers, and community members. The problem, though enormous, is pretty straightforward: Poverty has a tremendous impact on how individuals approach work, communicate, behave, and view themselves.
This seminar is for employers, social service agencies, health care providers, community organizations, and law enforcement staff.
Philip DeVol in collaboration with Ruby K.
