The Business Case For Responsible Climate Protection
3rd Annual Heartland Energy Policy Symposium
Join the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce on October 5 for provocative presentations on climate protection and the policy and strategies that use green energy to put businesses in the black.
Friis Arne Petersen, Ambassador of Denmark to the United States,
will discuss his nation’s green energy economy and how Denmark has gone from being 99% reliant on foreign energy to being 100 percent energy independent in 30 years. Our featured speaker is Jonathan Lash, President of the World Resources Institute. Mr. Lash was profiled in Rolling Stone's "Warriors & Heroes." The piece noted that he "has arguably done more than any other environmentalist to bridge the bitter divide between industry interests and green groups determined to halt global warming."
Nuclear Energy
Learn about the technology, policy and possibilities for a nuclear renaissance. At the special request of our Chamber members, this year's Symposium will also include a special presentation on nuclear energy. You won’t want to miss it!
